Kelly's Roast Beef (Saugus)

Last Friday night we decided to take a little road trip. James is always in search of a good roast beef sandwich and Kelly's Roast Beef in Saugus, MA delivered just that. We pulled up to the restaurant and the drive through was packed. Inside, the fish tanks and earthy decor gave the large space a cozy feel. The service at Kelly's Roast Beef was excellent and the food was both affordable and delicious!

James ordered the Large Roast Beef Sandwich, which is a mountain of roast beef on a grilled sesame-seed roll with lettuce, onions, and mayonnaise. The roast beef was cooked to perfection, the best roast beef we've had in a long time! It was a straightforward, delicious roast beef sandwich. A must have when visiting Kelly's Roast Beef!

Aida ordered Kelly's Roast Beef's Fish Sandwich, which is made up of a large piece of fried North Atlantic white fish served on a grilled, sesame-seed roll with a side of tartar sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked to a golden crisp. Kelly's Roast Beef tartar sauce was great! It was not heavy on the mayonnaise and had large chunks of pickles. Once again, Kelly's Roast Beef's straightforward approach to a classic Fish Sandwich was delicious!

Lastly, we shared an order of Kelly's Roast Beef's Hand-Breaded Onion Rings. James was not a big fan of these because there was too much breading and not enough onion for  his taste. However, Aida could not get enough of these onion rings! The crunchy, corn meal crust on thin slices of onion made up the perfect onion ring in her opinion. Go try them for yourselves and let us know what you decide!

Overall, Kelly's Roast Beef is the perfect place for a delicious, inexpensive, quick family meal. It was definitely worth the thirty minute drive from Boston!
